Review - Huts and Looms, Sustainable and Pure Handwoven Saree

I love wearing Indian ethnic wear on special occasions or festivals. A Saree is one of my favourite ethnic attire to wear during Puja or family get-togethers. Again in sarees, I have a soft corner for handloom sarees. The beauty and feel of these handwoven slow crafted  sarees are truly mesmerizing. It was Durga Puja time and Diwali is also approaching in few days, hence I thought to buy a beautiful handloom saree to celebrate all these festivals with extra joy.  Huts and Looms Tissue Silk Saree  In case you are wondering what a handloom saree is, then let me tell you in brief. Handlooms are basically handwoven fabrics made on a weaving machine called a loom. Hence, the name comes from HandLoom. It is a slow-crafted process, as it needs the utmost patience, creativity, and physical strength to create a masterpiece. Handloom sarees are generally priced because of this reason. I feel every woman looks graceful, powerful and amazing in a saree. Handloom sarees are repr...

UVmed Sunscreen Gel SPF 50 UVA By Ethicare Remedies - Review

Some days before the brand Ethicare Remedies has sent to me their Summer kit which has couple of stuffs including face wash, face pack, sunscreen ,etc.. I have shared the picture in my  instagram in-case you have missed. I decided to try the sunscreen first as my current sunscreen was about to over.. I was quite excited to try this out because it has SPF50 and my previous Neutrogena sun block (Reviewed HERE) has also SPF 50. Hence I wanted to compare both.. This one is my first Ethicare product.. I am using this since more than a week now and below is my experience..

Price- Rs349/- for 50gm.

Ingredients:

Packaging: The UVmed sunscreen gel comes in a tube packaging with a flip open cap.. All information arewritten on tube as well as the outer cardboard box.. It squeezes right quantity product each time, hence no wastage..  It is very handy and travel-friendly..

My Opinion: It is a tinted moisturiser with SPF 50. It feels really hydrated on my skin I don't apply extra moisturiser before this sunscreen gel. The cream is very soft in texture and spreads easily on skin and absorbs quickly as well to give a velvety finish.. Though it is a tinted moisturiser, but it doesn't provide any even tone finish to my face but i love the soft and velvety finish it gives .. I wish it should be more tinted.. It is like a primer before foundation.. Yes you can replace this sunscreen with your regular primer and you will never regret. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin and also it doesn't leave white cast on my face like some other high SPF sunscreens do. It also doesn't irritate my skin and I haven't face any breakouts after using it.

The only thing is ,I do feel a little sweaty after applying which can be overlook by dabbing a compact or loose powder.. I think oily skin people should stay away from this as it may make their face more oily.. It will suit well to normal to dry skin people.

As the brand claims that it is paraben free and harmful chemical free which is another good part of it.. It has very mild fragrance (almost no fragrance)  which fades away after application.. The brand is claiming that it is a oil-free formula with matte finish ,but i don't agree with that as i can't notice any matte finish after applying it..

If I will compare the UVmed sunscreen gel with my previous Neutrogena Sunblock , then can't find much differences.. Both have SPF 50 , good moisturising ability, doesn't give white cast or feel heavy on face.. The only difference is the Neutrogena one is a simple moisturiser and the UVmed one is a tinted moisturiser.. Price wise both are in same boat..

Rating - 4.2/5

I think I will repurchase it.. At this price you should try the UVmed sunscreen gel at least once if you have normal to dry skin type..

  2. Seeing the name "sunscreen gel" I thought it would be suitable for oily skin. Anyway, good that its paraben-free.
