Hello everyone,
Navratri has already started and it's the time when we Indian love to experiment new dishes, sweets, snacks in our kitchen.. We Indian /hindu believe that these period of times are very auspicious/ holi. Today I am going to share a desert/sweet recipe which do we make in many festivals or ocasions and i.e. Rice Kheer. I will share a quick and easy recipe of that (normally it takes lots of time to make)..
Move to know its procedure of making...
Ingredients:
1- Basmati Rice ( 1/2 cup)
2-Milk (1lit.)
3- Sugar (1/2 cup)
4-Salt (1 tsp.)
5- Water (as per required)
6- Ghee (2tsp.)
7- Bay leaf
8- Cardamom Powder
9- Cashew and almond crushed
Procedure :
1- Soak rice with water for 1 hour. Then drain the water and grind the rice a little .(which makes the rice tiny pieces and it takes less time to cook.)
2- Then keep a deep utensil on gas flame and put ghee into it . When the ghee becomes hot add two tsp. sugar into it. When sugar started becomeing golden brown and forming bubbles..immidiate add 1cup water into it (This process adds some color to kheer). At that time put 2 bay leaves also for extra aromatic fragrance.
3- Then add milk into it and brings to boil. Then add the semi crushed rice into it and add 1tsp. salt and keep stiring in between. Cook it in sim flame till the rice becomes soft.
4- Then add sugar and cook for another two minutes. add roasted cashew nuts, almonds ,.etc. Then turn off the flame and add cardamom powder into the kheer.
5- Allow it to be cool and serve ... The rice kheer is very tasty and sweet..
(p.s- you can also add condensed milk, saffron, other dry fruits for extra sweety taste..)
Enjoy some more pics..
Hope you all loved it..Do try at home..
