NIVEA Mom's Touch - Real Stories of Extraordinary Mothers And Their Unconditional Care ... & Contest

As you know,  NIVEA India believe that families are crucial to a strong society and a key source of confidence and care. Nivea India is extremely committed to our corporate social responsibility  to provide long-term support for families all over the world. In India, there are several marginalised families in urban centers who do not have enough resources, who struggle to earn a livelihood and have no means of securing the future of their children. The children of many such families spend most of their day begging at traffic signals, rag picking or working at tea stalls or garages. In order to feed their hungry families, some of these children are forced to give up their education and start earning at a very young age.However, there are many bright examples of families who stand by their children, who fight all odds to ensure their children get the education that they themselves couldn‘t have. The real backbone of such families are amazing moms, who willingly sacrifice the wages her kids could have earned to feed the family and instead motivate them to complete their school education.

NIVEA‘s CSR program 'Mom‘s Touch' is aimed at saluting the efforts of such amazing mothers who sacrifice and endure immense hardships to ensure that their chidlren attend school regularly. The program celebrates the efforts of these mothers and projects them as Role Models in their society. 'Mom’s Touch' also supports them with monthly household groceries for their families.

The heart of the NIVEA brand is care and we want to extend this caring touch through the NIVEA Mom’s Touch initiative. As a company Nivea is very passionate about this program and look at it as a medium to bring about a change in society.  The initiave was launched in 2014 in Mumbai in association with Aseema Charitable Trust. More than 90 students from Santacruz Municipal School, Mumbai were selected in the 1st phase and their moms were felicitated with 3 months‘ ration (food grains) by NIVEA . After witnessing a significant increment in attendance levels, the program has now been extended to 400 families. After the successful implementation of the program in Mumbai, NIVEA Mom’s Touch has now also been launched in Gujarat . Here NIVEA has partnered with Saath, a public charitable trust to cater to families living in the slums in and around Behrampura area in Ahmedabad city.

In order to spread the word about Mom’s Touch and help many more such moms, a digital film was created. The children of these extraordinary moms expressed their gratitude and narrated stories of sacrifices made by their moms to send them to school every day.

We all aware of that, Moms can do everything for their child without expecting anything and they even don't realise whatever they do is simple incredible . We often forget to thank our moms for their unconditional love and effort to keep our lives comfortable. But here is the above video which make you realise why it is important for you to thank your Mom.

The video  Mom’s Touch is a social initiative by NIVEA, which aims to help mothers who face impossible odds every single day to secure their children’s future.
