Review - Huts and Looms, Sustainable and Pure Handwoven Saree

I love wearing Indian ethnic wear on special occasions or festivals. A Saree is one of my favourite ethnic attire to wear during Puja or family get-togethers. Again in sarees, I have a soft corner for handloom sarees. The beauty and feel of these handwoven slow crafted  sarees are truly mesmerizing. It was Durga Puja time and Diwali is also approaching in few days, hence I thought to buy a beautiful handloom saree to celebrate all these festivals with extra joy.  Huts and Looms Tissue Silk Saree  In case you are wondering what a handloom saree is, then let me tell you in brief. Handlooms are basically handwoven fabrics made on a weaving machine called a loom. Hence, the name comes from HandLoom. It is a slow-crafted process, as it needs the utmost patience, creativity, and physical strength to create a masterpiece. Handloom sarees are generally priced because of this reason. I feel every woman looks graceful, powerful and amazing in a saree. Handloom sarees are repr...

Review # Oriflame The ONE Wonder Liner

Oriflame always keeps me surprised by sending lovely goodies.. On the occasion of Women's Day ,the brand send me this lovely eyeliner which was their new launch.. I had no idea about this and when the parcel arrived I was just amazed and felt so happy because I was about to buy one eye liner as my naybelline one got over but they saved my money (for some time ) .. Any way I have applied this couple times since now and ready to review for all of you...

Price: Rs499/- for 2.5ml.

Packaging: I personally not fond of this type of liquid eyeliner as I can't draw perfect lines with them.. After trying the pen style ones I am in love with those due to the easy and hassle-free application.. But there is an exception and all credit goes to its wand.. The wand is not like the typical liquid liner wands.. The strong and steady ,perfectly fix wand makes it really unique.. I haven't seen this type of wand before honestly... The wand is so so perfect to apply a smooth and thin or thick line as per preference.. Except that packaging is similar to other liquid liners...

My Opinion: I have already admired the wand, now time for its shade,texture,finish,etc.. The shade is black, but it is a jet black colour with matte  finish.. You will feel like you have applied a pencil liner (that much matte) .. As soon as I applied it settled into a matte finish which surprised me and trust me it dries up super fast on eyelids.

The texture is just perfect to apply.. It has no smell which bother sensitive noses like some liners have.I don't like the quantity at the price.. Mine one is about to finish.. It doesn't tug or pull while applying which is good..

It is not water-proof. I am telling you a scene (of my house) which was happened during the first application of this wonder liner. After receiving the parcel I was too excited to try this out and I applied.. Then I slept in the afternoon and when I got-up I was forgot that I have liner on my eyelids and I washed my face.. Then when my son saw me ,he started crying like hell.. I wasn't understand where is the  issue.. Then he cried by saying ' Mumma bhut bangeyi ( Mom became ghost) ' .. I rushed to see my face in mirror and saw that eye liner smudged like hell and my half face was black ..
So please be aware of this thing as the line smudge badly when comes in-contact with water.. Except these 2-3 things I don't have any issue with this wonder liner.. I wish they would add some coloured liners  to this range very soon..

Swatches...

Pros:

  1. Very unique wand style
  2. Lovely black shade
  3. Settles into  matte finish
  4. No irritating smell
  5. Doesn't tug or pull while applying
  6. Dries quickly after application
  7. Stays for a whole day ( until you apply water to it)

Cons:

  1. Pricey as compare to quantity
  2. Smudges badly when comes in contact with water
  3. Availability may be an issue

Rating: 4/5

P.S- Product was sent by brand for consideration but my review is honest and unbiased..

  1. Good points have been mentioned by you. I am looking for a liner too... But you are very correct by saying that it is expensive and is not waterproof!

  5. This has become my everyday eyeliners as it dries fast so I don't have to wait for ages to apply mascara. I have slightly oily lids but I have not faced any smudging or smearing issues. Though it is not waterproof but it stays on my lids for the entire day!
