Review - Huts and Looms, Sustainable and Pure Handwoven Saree

I love wearing Indian ethnic wear on special occasions or festivals. A Saree is one of my favourite ethnic attire to wear during Puja or family get-togethers. Again in sarees, I have a soft corner for handloom sarees. The beauty and feel of these handwoven slow crafted  sarees are truly mesmerizing. It was Durga Puja time and Diwali is also approaching in few days, hence I thought to buy a beautiful handloom saree to celebrate all these festivals with extra joy.  Huts and Looms Tissue Silk Saree  In case you are wondering what a handloom saree is, then let me tell you in brief. Handlooms are basically handwoven fabrics made on a weaving machine called a loom. Hence, the name comes from HandLoom. It is a slow-crafted process, as it needs the utmost patience, creativity, and physical strength to create a masterpiece. Handloom sarees are generally priced because of this reason. I feel every woman looks graceful, powerful and amazing in a saree. Handloom sarees are repr...

Baby Dove Nourishing Baby Lotion Review...

Recently Dove has launched a new baby skincare range and there are four baby products available..  I love Dove products as they are super hydrated for my dry skin as well as very gentle on skin...  That's the only reason I wanted to try the Dove Baby Lotion on my son's skin...  Normally baby's/kid's skin is dry and sensitive so my son's has..  I am very choosy when it comes to baby skincare products...  But Dove is a very well-known brand and I personally love  Dove products for my skin, hence there was no second thought on purchasing this baby lotion...  Initially I applied this on my skin just to see if it is causing any allergies or irritations, then applied on my son... I am using this Dove baby lotion since a month now and below is my opinion on this product...

Price - Rs180/- for 200ml.

Claims -

Ingredients - Aqua (water), Glycerin, Petrolatum, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Dimethicone, Isopropyle Isostearate, Tapioca Starch, Triethanalomine, Glycerol Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Parfum, Cetearyl Alcohol, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Carbomer, Stearamide AMP, Titanium Dioxide, Disodium EDTA

Packaging - The Dove Nourishing Baby Lotion  comes in a cute flat chhuby plastic bottle with a flip open cap...  The bottle is the cutest one...  I love it..  All information is written on the back side of the bottle...  Overall the packaging is cute, handy and hygienic..

Texture & Fragrance - The lotion has thick creamy texture and milky white in colour ..  It is super soft on skin and blends so easily and absorbs quickly as well.  It doesn't feel heavy or greasy on skin and makes skin healthy looking and supple to touch.  It has very sweet floral fragrance like most of the baby products..

I do apply on my son twice a day, once after his shower and again before going to bed...  The lotion keeps skin hydrated for around 5-6hours maximum...  Sometimes less according to the outer atmosphere..  During summer time the longevity will increase I am sure..  But 24hours miniaturisation is totally wrong...  I also have applied on my fave and hand couple of times and love it..

Pros... -
➡ Super cute sturdy and hygienic packaging
➡ Thick, creamy texture which blends on skin easily
➡ Absorbs through skin quickly
➡ Mild floral fragrance
➡ Keeps skin hydrated for around 5-6hours
➡ Doesn't irritate or create allergies on baby's sensitive skin
➡ Maintains skin pH
➡ Doesn't contain paraben as ingredient
➡ Very light weight on skin and doesn't feel greasy or sticky on skin
➡ Affordable

Cons... -
➡ 24hours moisturization is totally wrong

Rating - 4.7/5

Final Verdict - Dove Nourishing Baby Lotion is a great lotion for babies which is affordable as well.  It moisturises skin and doesn't feel greasy or sticky at all. It suits all skin type and even you can apply to new born babies...  I must say it is a budget buy baby product and you should try this out..

Hope you find this review helpful... See you in my next post..

Love xoxo 💟💟

  3. In such situations it becomes extremely important to get a bug repellant lotion meant to suit the baby's skin. These do not contain strong chemicals, such as DEET, and are safe for the little ones.
