I love wearing Indian ethnic wear on special occasions or festivals. A Saree is one of my favourite ethnic attire to wear during Puja or family get-togethers. Again in sarees, I have a soft corner for handloom sarees. The beauty and feel of these handwoven slow crafted sarees are truly mesmerizing. It was Durga Puja time and Diwali is also approaching in few days, hence I thought to buy a beautiful handloom saree to celebrate all these festivals with extra joy. Huts and Looms Tissue Silk Saree In case you are wondering what a handloom saree is, then let me tell you in brief. Handlooms are basically handwoven fabrics made on a weaving machine called a loom. Hence, the name comes from HandLoom. It is a slow-crafted process, as it needs the utmost patience, creativity, and physical strength to create a masterpiece. Handloom sarees are generally priced because of this reason. I feel every woman looks graceful, powerful and amazing in a saree. Handloom sarees are repr...
Makeup tools are equally important for doing any flawless makeup... Initially when I jumped into this blogging world, I had no brushes and I was using my fingers that time... Then I bought few Vega brushes and then I realized the importance of good makeup brushes in your makeup vanity.. And now I have few RT brushes as well...
Last month when I saw the oriflame brushes on catalogue ,I researched a little and found that these are of really good according to price.. I got all the brushes to review for all of you... I am using these few times now and washed once as well.. So let's get into the review...
All the oriflame brushes have aluminum and wooden handle... These have nylon and goat hair bristles. The handle is quite long and easy to hold while applying. There are face and eye brushes in the professional range... First I am going to share about the face brushes..
FACE BRUSHES -
1- Oriflame Professional Powder Brush -
It is a largr paddle shaped rounded tip fluffy brush. It is good to apply compact or bronzer on face .. The bristles are not so soft or gentle on skin.. It will definitely hurt sensitive skins. Another issue is the bristles are not fitted properly. When I received the brush few bristles are already loose and they are coming out while applying powder... After wash few bristles have gone again.. I am not like it at all.. I am not sure if my brush has any manufacturing defect or the brush is like this in real...
Price - Rs329/-
2- Oriflame Professional Blush Brush -
The blush brush is a medium size rounded tip brush... The bristles are soft and packed densely... It is a multi purpose brush... It blends blush so beautifully... It can be use to blend foundation as well, but you need extra effort... I press the tip from sides and use it for contouring. It is a good brush, sometimes I too use this for applying powder as the powder brush is totally rough...
Price - Rs329/-
3- Oriflame Professional Foundation Brush -
It is a flat, dense, tapered tip brush... I personally don't prefer such shape brushes to apply foundation... It is like you are painting your face and applying foundation through such brush is time consuming as it takes so much time to blend... I use it for blending concealer and it works fine... One can apply face pack with this brush though I havn't tried yet... It has very soft bristles and gentle on skin...
Price - Rs329/-
4- Oriflame Professional Fan Powder Brush-
The fan brush is extreamly soft, fine bristles which moves on skin like dream... It can be use to apply highlighter and to swipe excess powder or eyeshadow on face... Loved it...
Price - Rs 279/-
5- Oriflame Professional Concealer / Lip Brush -
The concealer brush is small, rounded end and the bristles are so soft and tightly packed... It is meant for small area, corner area application... I prefer to use this to tap my eyeshadow and pigments... It can also be use for spot correction..
The lip brush is also of same kind but slightly narrow in size... I too prefer this for eye makeup... I have never used any lip brush for applying lipstick but it will great on that era as well...
Price - Rs229/-
EYE BRUSHES -
6- Oriflame Professional Double-ended Eyeshadow Brush -
One end of the brush is fluffy, rounded tip bristles and the other end has a sponge applicator. I like to use the bristle side to blend the transition eyeshadow . It is so soft and easy to blend. Again you can use this to blend cream or gel based shadow. I would prefer the sponge applicator for applying highly pigmented eyeshadows... Personally I don't like sponge applicator for eye makeup...
Price - Rs229/-
7- Oriflame Professional Eyebrow Brush -
There is nothing unique about this eyebrow brush by oriflame.. It is the normal eyebrow grooming brush which has a comb kind thing at one side and bristles on the other side. It works well in grooming eyebrows...
Price - Rs199/-
8- Oriflame Professional Blending Brush -
It is a firm, stiff, rounded end blending brush... I have heard a lot of good reviews on this blending brush and was really excited to try this out but I can't find it that much great.. Unlike the powder brush the bristles are not soft and I felt so much uncomfortable while trying to blend my eyeshadow... I use the RT blending brush, and I found it is of no use infornt of that... I won't recommend this particular blending brush to anyone...
Price - Rs199/-
Overall Oriflame has a good range of professional brushes at affordable price... I don't like the powder brush and blending brush at all... Except that the rest are awesome to use...
Rating - 3/5 😊

ReplyDeleteYeah the powder brush and blending brush are so harsh on skin.. Rest are good and soft..
DeleteNice honest review. But don't know why these two brushes you got are such. Mine are really good. I use Oriflame brushes only.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the honest review, Snigs! I won't buy a makeup brush if it pokes. ;)
ReplyDeleteNever tried their brush collection, they look worth a try!
ReplyDeleteFinally Oriflame has come out with their makeup brushes range. I have one from Sigma, and have been using it for over 3 years now. Have never tried Oriflame ones. Might try their Fan Brush, because that is the only one I do not have in my stash.
ReplyDeleteI might try their eye brushes and the fan brush. I wish they work more on the quality. They are very reasonable though!
ReplyDeleteNice collection of brushes. Lively review
