Review - Huts and Looms, Sustainable and Pure Handwoven Saree

I love wearing Indian ethnic wear on special occasions or festivals. A Saree is one of my favourite ethnic attire to wear during Puja or family get-togethers. Again in sarees, I have a soft corner for handloom sarees. The beauty and feel of these handwoven slow crafted  sarees are truly mesmerizing. It was Durga Puja time and Diwali is also approaching in few days, hence I thought to buy a beautiful handloom saree to celebrate all these festivals with extra joy.  Huts and Looms Tissue Silk Saree  In case you are wondering what a handloom saree is, then let me tell you in brief. Forbidden Love on ZEE5 - Arranged Marriage movie Review
Forbidden Love - An anthology of four short films : Review

The story of the movie is about Dev (Ali Fazal) and Neil (Omkar Kapoor), who are in love with each other but can’t confront their families about their choice of sexuality. At times Neil gets married to Dev’s cousin Keya (Patralekha Paul). The young bride was worried about Neil’s lack of interest in sex and she decides to do anything to make her marriage work. She also meets a doctor to cure Neil's disease of homosexuality.

Homosexuality is still a taboo for our society and how these two boys are struggling to make their same-sex relationship success is the pilar of the story. Director Pradeep Sarkar portrays the relationship of Dev and Niel with so much maturity. The story ends with a not-so-happy note. The performance of Patralekha Paul is outstanding. The movie shows that our society still very much crucial towards homosexual relationships and it will take a hard time to make everyone understand.

Anamika :

Cast - Pooja Kumar, Aditya seal, Harsh Chaya

Forbidden Love on ZEE5 - Anamika movie Review
Forbidden Love - An anthology of four short films : Review

Anamika is the story of Anamika (Pooja Kumar), a typical Indian woman, whose husband Vijendra (Harsh Chhaya) is always busy with his work and has no time for her. Anamika has a day job at a café, where a young man Ishaan (Aditya Seal) comes frequently and slowly enters her life. He brings back the happiness she is looking for in her marriage. Anamika wants to start her life fresh and wants to move away from her marriage. She somehow caught between love and responsibility towards her family.

And like this, the story has a lot of twists and drama. Actress Pooja Kumar has done a brilliant performance in her role. The story of Anamika is definitely the story of many women in our society. The lead actor Harsh Chhaya also performed so well to bring a natural vibe to the whole story.

This is a masterpiece by Priyadarshan with a natural appeal. The script is really finely crafted. The cinematography is great as the emotions of each and every character in the film are captured beautifully on the camera. Anamika is a full-on entertainment movie.

 Rules of the game :

Cast: Aahana Kumra, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Anindita Bose

Director: Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary

Producer : Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain

Rating : 4/5

Forbidden Love on ZEE5 - Rules of the Game movie Review
Forbidden Love - An anthology of four short films : Review

The story of the movie is based on a couple who spiced up their marriage with some roleplay which goes too far. Here Priya, starring Aahana Kumra is a housewife who has left her job and is looking for any kind of excitement in her life. Gaurav starring Chandan Roy Sanyal is the husband who loves his wife but is struggling to keep her interest and find any love in their relationship. Priya loves to play online games , the mysterious kind.

Anindita Bose plays the role of Nisha, who is Priya’s best friend. She was not happy  in her marriage. Things get interesting when Priya begins feeling like someone is stalking her. To save their marriage Priya and Gaurav try to role play in bed, but this leads to some dangerous consequences. The rules of the game get broken and the couple faces serious trouble.

Aahana Kumra is the star of the film. She plays the character Priya so perfectly to keep holding the warmth of the 45minutes film. Chandan Roy Sanyal does his best as Gaurav to please his wife but couldn't really understand what is going on in her mind. Together their chemistry is dynamic and interesting. There are full-on drama, mystery and excitement to keep you hooked onto the movie.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury who created the story and directed this film also does a great job by keeping a scary mysterious climax.

Diagnosis of Love :

Cast: Mahesh V Manjrekar, Raima Sen, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Ranvijay Singh, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Dhanjay Singh

Forbidden Love on ZEE5 - Diagnosis of Love movie Review
Forbidden Love - An anthology of four short films : Review

The film starts with Dr Sudha (Raima Sen) trying to convince the board of a Goa hospital to onboard Dr Harsh Thakur (Vaibhav Tatwawaadi) who is an award-winning doctor with a dark past. But they are not convinced as he was accused of murdering his girlfriend Kalindi (Mrunmayee Deshpande) in Pune after making her pregnant. But Harsh was given a clean chit by police in this case. Sudha’s husband Vaibhav (Mahesh V Manjrekar) doubts his wife’s intentions towards Dr. Harsh and he asked his “family friend” ACP Aditya (Ranvijay Singh) to look into his wife's activities. Here I want to mention that they have no child even after 10years of marriage. Someday Vaibhav came to know that Sudha is pregnant with someone else's child. Then slowly it follows a murder mystery which keeps you on your toe to know what will happen next .

Diagnosis of Love is the perfect combination of love, romance, and extra-marital affairs. Each layer of the story is filled with suspense.

Here the performance of Mahesh Manjrekar, Raima sen and Vaibhav Tatwawaadi is excellent. The stand out character of ACP Aditya played by Ranvijay is again appreciated. Overall a beautifully scripted movie with lots of drama, love, suspense, everything.
