Recently I came across a new ingredient Marula oil while browsing the internet and it attracts me to try it out. Being in this influencing and content-creating field I always have to try new products ( skincare and makeup) for you all. 

While searching for a good moisturizer, I found Minimalist Marula Oil 05% moisturizer. Then again while searching for Marula Oil Benefits, I found some amazing information regarding this which I am going to share with you all here. Before hopping onto the Minimalist moisturizer review, first, let me take you through the benefits and uses of Marula oil for our skin and hair.

Benefits of Marula Oil in Skincare :

Marula is a kind of tree found in parts of Southern Africa and nearby. Every part of this tree has medicinal value and is used in various ways. The Marula fruit contains a hard, brown nut-like thing inside it. Marula oil is extracted from the nut. Marula oil is a rich source of protein and is easily absorbed by skin and hair. These days it is used widely in skincare products and hair care products as well. Also, it is available in the form of essential oil.

Marula oil has Amino acid and Glutamic acid which helps in hydrating skin and also has anti-ageing properties. Again it has Fatty acids, Antioxidants, and Vitamin E and C that help protect the skin from UV rays too. It is good for strengthening nails. As it is lightweight and easily absorbs into the skin, it works perfectly for oily skin too. Because of its antimicrobial properties, it suits acne-prone skin too. Because of its highly moisturizing ability, it smoothens and softens fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, etc. Overall Marula oil is a great moisturizing agent for skin, hair, and nails.

Minimalist Marula Oil 05% Moisturizer Review 

This moisturizer is one of the first Minimalist products I have ever tried. There was no planning to buy it but while searching for good moisturizer online I saw good reviews and ratings of this product and thought to give it a try. After all Marula oil has so many positive skin benefits and I wanted to experience that. This has 5% Marula oil concentrate in the moisturizer. Already I have shared the benefits of Marula oil in skincare, hence directly jumping into my experience with this product.

My experience -  

The moisturizer comes in tube packaging. It has the signature packaging of minimalist. This is a 50gm. tube which going to last for 2 months easily with regular usage.

The cream has a creamy gel-like texture and medium consistency. It has some weird chemical fragrance which I don't like and this is the only thing I don't like about this product. The moisture is very lightweight on the skin and you need a pea-sized amount to cover the whole face and neck. This cream absorbs quickly and does not feel sticky at all. 

It has hyaluronic acid which helps to keep moisturized full day. Also, it has vitamin E and C which helps to rejuvenate skin and adds a healthy glow from within. Also, it has Marula oil as the main ingredient and already I have mentioned its benefits for the skin. 

I apply this as my morning cream and love how it keeps moisturizing my skin till night. Skin doesn't feel sticky or greasy even in summer as well. 

Pros- 

1- The best active ingredients present here: Marula oil, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E

2- keeps skin moisturized all day long

3- Absorbs quickly into skin

4- Doesn't feel heavy or greasy after applying

5- Skin feels healthy and smooth

Cons- 

1- Has a weird fragrance. A sensitive nose can have an issue.

A very nice moisturizer for all the season. Keeps skin hydrated for a long duration. Will recommend to try out.
